The museum

The museum in Neuenbürg Castle is a branch of the Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe, which opened in 2001 with a unique exhibition concept.

The tour begins with a walk-through theater production of Wilhelm Hauff's fairy tale "The Cold Heart" in the north wing. After the performance, castle servant Ambrosius invites guests to the south wing, where original exhibits, such as the Neuenburger Asylum Stone from 1593, interactive stations, and a film station bring the history of the castle, the town, and the Northern Black Forest region to life.
