The museum

The museum in Schloss Neuenbürg is a branch museum of the Badisches Landesmuseum Karlsruhe, which was opened in 2001 with a unique exhibition idea. The tour begins with the walk-in theater production of the fairy tale “The Cold Heart” by Wilhelm Hauff in the north wing. After the theater, the castle servant Ambrosius asks the guests into the south wing, where original exhibits, such as the New Citizen Asylstein from 1593, interactive stations and a film station, make the history of the castle, city and the region of the northern Black Forest come alive.
