Music unites – youth music school and chamber orchestra together on stage

A special concert project at Neuenbürg Castle featuring young talents from the entire region.

The Neuenbürg Municipal Youth Music School invites you to an extraordinary concert evening on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at 19 p.m. in the Prince's Hall of Neuenbürg Castle . Under the title "Music Connects – Professionals & Talents in Dialogue," students of the youth music school will perform together with musicians from the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim.

This project is a special milestone for the youth music school. For the first time, young musicians have the opportunity not only to perform as soloists with a professional orchestra, but also to play directly alongside experienced orchestral musicians. The intensive rehearsals and the interaction with the professionals offer the young people valuable artistic experiences that go far beyond regular lessons.

It is particularly gratifying that the performers come from all the municipalities that support the youth music school. Students from Neuenbürg, Birkenfeld, Engelsbrand, and Straubenhardt are on stage together, impressively demonstrating the unifying power of music. The concert thus also highlights the successful inter-municipal cooperation that has formed the basis of the youth music school's work for many years.

The audience can look forward to a diverse program. Young soloists will present works by Vivaldi, Sarasate, Manfredini, Sammartini, Heinichen, Bozza, and Horváth. The instruments featured include violin, trumpet, recorder, saxophone, and piano – accompanied by the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra Pforzheim. In addition, numerous string students from the youth music school will also participate in the combined orchestra.

For the youth music school, the concert also represents a glimpse into the future. The collaboration with the Southwest German Chamber Orchestra is to be further expanded. Moreover, similar projects and concerts are conceivable in the other sponsoring municipalities, in order to further integrate the youth music school's musical work into the region.

This extraordinary project is made possible by the generous support of the Gebr.-Schaich-Stiftung Birkenfeld , which financially supports the project and thus enables young people to have a unique musical experience.
