Rumpelstiltskin comes to Neuenbürg Castle

The renowned puppet theatre “Puppenpalast” will present the popular fairy tale on Sunday, 16 November 2025 “Rumpelstiltskin” The Brothers Grimm takes to the stage. The performance begins at 15 p.m.

An elaborately designed production tells the well-known story of the cunning little man who promises a desperate miller's daughter that he will spin gold from straw – albeit at a high price. Young audience members are encouraged to participate during the performance and can have their photo taken with the nostalgic wooden hand puppets after the show. In addition to the fairytale characters, Kasper and the crocodile also appear.

With artfully crafted wooden puppets, impressive music, and a touch of humor, the fairytale is given a lively new interpretation. The "Puppet Palace," with puppeteer Michael Henne, brings a nostalgic, 12-meter-long stage in the shape of a fairytale castle to the palace's Prince's Hall. The play is suitable for children ages 2 and up.
