Old walls, revived – comedic-theatrical castle seduction
Neuenbürg Castle. Six performers from the Independent Theatre Artists of Pforzheim-Enzkreis will present the theatrical tour "Old Walls – Revitalized" for young and old on Sunday, July 4, 2021, at 13.30:16.30 p.m. and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. With entertaining scenes and whimsical characters, the artists will bring the castle's grounds to life.
The romantic setting is perfect for the "Marketing & Tourism Department of the Schlossverwaltung mit Stil (SNBMTADSVMS GmbH & KO KG)." Director Gisela Spick von der Vogelheide, or Mrs. von Spick for short, is determined to attract visitors and investors to her "innovative" concepts at all costs.
Whether a forgetful gardener, a trollish forest gnome, or an old gatekeeper, her staff of "highly qualified" employees is unfortunately also unfireable. According to von Spick's instructions, a castle ghost must remain "invisible."
"Romance yes, ghost stories no", says she, who is determined to avoid clichés at all costs. To shed its "dusty" image, she wants to present the castle as an attractive location for glamorous events. The latest motto is "Dream Wedding with a Fairytale Look." Decorations and entertainment are taken care of. But what if the artists cancel at the last minute and the decorating company gets stuck in traffic? Luckily, there's Picc, the old gatekeeper and receptionist, who's already rocking the baby...

The cultural project, a comedic and theatrical contribution to this year's castle anniversary, is made possible through the kind support of the Enzkreis district and the museum director Jacqueline Maltzahn-Redling.
