Christmas tree decorations from the Maud Pohlmeyer collection
From November 14 to January 6, 2004, the museum at Neuenbürg Castle will showcase the richness and regional diversity of Christmas tree decorations in the 20th century, using ten Christmas trees as examples. After Christmas trees became the centerpiece of Christmas celebrations in the 19th century, great attention was paid to their decorations. Depending on current preferences or traditions, wooden toy figures, plum men, raisin rings, chip trees, and straw stars were hung on the tree. A companion book is published by Info-Verlag (€9).
Opening hours like museum.
Admission: 2,- €, reduced: 1,- €.
