Curious! Dubious! Famous!
Be amazed and puzzle along!
Is this object a special "resting place" for specific cases, or is it more of a practical household appliance? And did this mysterious "thing" actually help with impotence and flat feet, or was it actually used as a lie detector? Find the correct one of three possible answers.
The curiosities on display come from over 34 private households and the museum's collection. They are a piece of contemporary history that will lead the viewer to many insights!
Frank Kunert – Curious Worlds
The exhibition "Kurios.Dubios. Famos!" is framed by the humorous and quirky photographs and models of Frankfurt-based photo artist Frank Kunert. They, too, challenge our perceptions. He has already received numerous awards for his curious miniature worlds. Critically, yet with a great sense of humor and attention to detail, he first translates his ideas into models, which he then photographs with an analogue large-format camera. These small masterpieces reflect our own realities – often only recognizable at second glance – and mischievously reduce them to absurdity.
A hilarious encounter with ourselves! Simply fantastic!
Anyone who visits the exhibition in March can participate in the ticket raffle for the Hessischer Rundfunk program "Dings vom Dach" in April! (Entry deadline: June 17.6.2018, XNUMX)
