Best Pictures – German Cartoon Prize
With us you climb the mountain to laugh!
June 9 - September 8, 2024
The madness continues: with climate change, the war in Ukraine, inflation... The flow of refugees continues, the shortage of skilled workers is increasing, young people seem strange... And then there's the end of Hansi Flick... Who is supposed to know what to do? We have the answer: 87 cartoonists who are focusing on the situation with their work in the exhibition "Best Pictures - German Cartoon Award" at Neuenbürg Castle.
The "Best Pictures" are not only the ultimate illustrated review of the year, but also the official exhibition for the "German Cartoon Prize." The topics addressed include what was on people's minds, not just in 2023: Will ChatGPT finally reduce bureaucracy? Is the Deutschlandtakt (German Timetable) the key to eternal life? And what armband do we actually wear when installing a heat pump?
The "Best Pictures" were selected from over 3000 submissions, from which the winning cartoons of the "German Cartoon Prize" awarded by Lappan Verlag will also be chosen.
