With the cycle "At the King's Court - A la cour du roi," the Neuenbürg artist and art educator Johannes Lang will be exhibiting his works at Neuenbürg Castle starting September 14. Lang has long been particularly interested in literary themes. The starting point for the prints shown in Neuenbürg is a paper collage by the French artist Henri Matisse. The cheerful colors of this 1952 work seem to be in a tense disproportion with the title "The King's Sorrow." From this, Johannes Lang develops his cycle by using various printing processes to break down the complex image into different conceptual spaces.
The vernissage, followed by refreshments, will take place on Friday, September 14, at 19 p.m. on the first floor of the north wing. The artist will be present.
